I just stumbled upon a great video that explains in a very simple way why type 1 and type 2 diabetes occur.
It helps you have a mental picture of what’s happening in your body when your pancreas does not produce enough insulin or when the insulin receptors are desensitized. I already knew how this works, but I thought that many people with diabetes still don’t know it, and this is the simplest way I found to explain it.
