Today I heard a quote that I think is from the poet Walt Whitman, who said “Truth is simple. If it was complicated, everybody would understand it.”

That made me think about how much we are used to make everything complicated. I see in that phrase a startling parallel with the current medical paradigm. Healing should be simple. Our bodies come with a perfect healing machine to this world and they “only” need the right stimuli (fresh and whole food, water, exercise …) and the appropriate internal and external environment (stressless, positive and confident in our healing) to carry out their primary function.

Albert EinsteinAlbert Einstein was also an advocate of simplicity. He said “Make everything as simple as possible, but not simpler.” If the great geniuses of history agreed on this, could it be that there is some truth in it?
