Just in case you didn’t heard about the one million ex-diabetics campaign organized by Jim Healthy, I wanted to write a quick shout out for you.

What is the 1 million ex-diabetics (“1MILX”) campaign?

Type 2 diabetes is the fastest-spreading medical condition on the planet today – and the largest financial burden on the world’s health care systems.
Currently, at least 10 percent of the world’s population has been diagnosed with this condition. But the scarier statistic is that three times as many people are walking around with pre-diabetes or type 2 diabetes unaware. Even worse: Type 2 is now attacking children in unprecedented numbers (this used to be an adults-only condition.)
This explosion of Type 2 among children is the reason why some experts afirm that kids born after the year 2000 will be the first generation in the history of humanity to have a shorter lifespan than their parents.

That’s why Jim Healthy and his team of health professionals have this outstanding goal for this year: help one million diabetics get their health back and get rid off drugs.

One Million Ex-Diabetics is a global effort to wipe out Type 2 diabetes (or at least to reduce its prevalence back to the levels of the ’50s when it was a condition which only affected the elderly and the idle rich)

As Jim says, “all this suffering is doubly tragic because it is so unnecessary. As numerous medical studies have proven (and as my co-author and I have demonstrated in our book, The 30-Day Diabetes Cure), Type 2 is easily prevented and reversed simply by making a few key improvements in one’s diet and lifestyle.

Diabetes Heroes book coverTo spread this news and to show that Type 2 diabetes can be reversed, Jim and his team have just published a new book entitled Diabetes Heroes. It describes the inspiring stories of ordinary people who have completely reversed their diabetes and are now living healthier drug-free lives.

I find this paragraph of  the above mentioned book specially meaningful: “We adults are the role models our children look to for cues on how to live and what to eat. If they see us spending our lives on the couch, compulsively consuming junk food, snacks, sodas, and beer, and passively surrendering to diabetes without a fight, how can we expect them not to do the same?

While that might not be your case or my case, that is a real problem in today’s society, and it deserves and requires action – to actively be the architects of our lives taking full responsibility for our health and working to improve it.

And not only our children will benefit from our example, but friends and other family members will want to improve their health as they see how you are improving yours.

The only thing I’m a bit critical about is that in the Diabetes Heroes book, as in all educational material from Jim healthy’s team, it is afirmed that this type-2 diabetes treatment is the only “exit strategy” for this disease. Although it surely IS a treatment that works (I’ve been getting comments from people following this plan who are seeing fantastic results in a very short time and many other cases like the ones “showcased” in Diabetes Heroes), my research has showed me that there are other treatments that work for some people (vegan diet, paleo diet…)

This book will give you not just hope but the resources to posibly reverse your type 2 diabetes.

Another paragraph from the book that I find specially motivating is this one:

“The very ordinary people you’re about to meet have done an extraordinary thing: They’ve beaten the odds … proven the experts wrong … and given themselves a second chance, despite being told that no such hope exists.

Why are they called heroes? Because they had the courage to buck the medical system and to make a strong commitment to their health until achieving the results they wanted. They simply decided they were going to get well, found a plan that showed them how, and stuck with it.

Are you going to be the next hero? I encourage you to give it a try and be an example to your loved ones.
